Hannah’s Prayer Ministries provides Christian-based support and encouragement to married women around the world who are struggling with the pain of fertility challenges, including primary and secondary infertility, pregnancy loss, early infant death, and adoption loss. Their outreach also extends to those who become mothers of living children through pregnancy, adoption, and/or foster care.

Hot dog, Miranda’s carving again.

I had the honor of supplying the Klamath Yacht Club with limited edition block prints to be used for their awards in their annual Firecracker Regatta. I hadn’t carved a block print in a few years, but despite the tediousness and neck pain that comes with it – i was inspired to do some more carving. One of my four beautiful hens is a black and white (silver laced) Wyandotte. She is truly striking and inspirational of a very special chicken portrait. i would ultimately like to offer my services as an artist to others looking for a special representation of their favorite hen (yes, we chicken folks really love our pet hens). Olive’s portrait turned out beautifully.

I used two plates to create the two color print. Each print is uniquely textured at the base, and not all are perfectly registered but i think that adds to the ‘folk art’ look that chickens evoke. Attention mommies and mommies to be! You may be DIYing it up a storm making pillow covers, throw blankies, and booties. Or you have a decorator helping you pick matching linens and bed accessories. Perhaps you’re somewhere in the middle? Whatever your method for decorating, let a one of a kind piece by Miranda R Mueller really set off that nursery to be something special. Put baby’s name up on the wall for him to admire and to excite his desire to read at a later age.

Simply contact me with your project, mail me some scraps of fabric (or let me know where you purchased the fabric and i’ll buy a yard), and get filled with excitement to see your baby’s name up on the wall.
Each piece can be stretched on pine, ready to hang (no frame necessary). You can choose the size, but i think they work pretty great at about 2×3 feet.
Prices vary depending on labor, but you can expect your piece to be about $100 plus shipping (shipping void if purchasing locally).
